Those People We Love:)

We all have those people that we know will be there for us. It may be your mom, dad, brother, sister, grandmother, or a close friend. In my case it would be my Grandmother and my best friend. I've learned from experience that they truly want the best for me. They love me. They encourage me. They push me. They tell me those things I don't want to hear.

Specifically with my Bibba: She gave up her retired life to make sure I had a decent life. She loved me and comforted me. She wiped my tears and taught me to get back up and get back on the horse. BTW I hate that horse. It's always bucking me off:) She has yelled and screamed and grounded me! But she did it to teach me a lesson. We have this little thing where we constantly say "I love you more". I've finally realized she loves me so much more than I could ever love her! She's an amazing woman and if I'm half of the person she is, I'll have no trouble socially in life!

Kiara: We have known each other for 8 years:) We were friends, worst enemies, acquaintances, 7-Second lovers, and then finally best friends;) She's my Dora, for I art her Boots! She's the harsh friend. The one that tells me what I don't want to hear even though I know she's right! She loves me for who I am and knows me better than I know myself. She's a moody, titchy, harsh, worrisome, uptight Mexican:) But she's my moody, titchy, harsh, worrisome, uptight Mexican! I'd take a bullet for her and I know she'd do the same for me:) She'll continue to be my best friend when I stay at NC and she heads off to follow her dreams at MSA! She'll be my friend when I'm going to EC and when I go to College:) (Possibly Southern, but morelikely, Northwestern!) She'll be the one I call when I cry, laugh, scream, and smile. She loves me. I love her. I'll always have her:) She doesn't know it, but if I get married, She's my best woman:) I love my best friend. More than she can imagine. I'll miss her and I'm gonna cry when she leaves. More than I'm crying as I write this totally true blog:) Thank you Beffie! You are amazing!

All Good Things Must Come to an End!

It's Friday! Friday! Friday! Which means this amazing Journalism Camp/ Workshop thing is almost over:( I've had the best experience here this week and I know that the lessons learned and friends made will be something I keep! To all the faculty, thank you. You have truly made this experience a blessing and have concreted my future:) To the College student helpers, Y'all were amazing! Jonathon, Keona, Sarah, Jared, and Sicily made the experience enjoyable! To the great friends I made... Yoda, Tooth Fairy, Piper, Bones, and Cougar. Great nicknames:) I'll miss y'all and you BETTER stay in touch! And remember... if you want to get something done right: CHANNEL YOUR INNER AVRIL!!!

Media Frenzy!

The Fab Five has been in three medias. Video broadcast! Radio broadcast! Newspaper print! I was definitely looking forward to video! It was amazing being on the receiving side of the camera! Radio was the one I was most afraid of... but it was so lax that I loved it! The broadcast at 5 was so much fun! I thought it was going to be a nightmare but Sarah and the rest of the radio team made it WAY enjoyable! Print was the field I was dreading. I thought it was gonna be boring and a drag. But it was a lot of fun too because Savannah and Helen made it a lot easier for me:)

Life on a College Campus:)

Ok. Coming from Conehatta to Hattiesburg is SUCH a huge difference. There's actually coffee shops and book stores. I was kind of overwhelmed on the first night, because I was in a new place and all the new people I met, were SOOOOOOO nice:) I've definitely lost a lot of sleep time but it's all worth it! So let's go through the people I met. First we have my fellow group members, Helen, John, Savannah, and Zoe. Helen was one of the first people I talked to. She's a really nice, honest, kind of awkwardly funny! John is the skinny perfectionist! He's REALLY good at JD2! Savannah actually went to Newton County before! So therefore, she knows what I have to go through:) She's a good leader. Very experienced and knowledgeable on a lot of things writing! Zoe was the last group member I met. She's really nice and outgoing. She doesn't mind being on camera and she always has really great ideas:) Other people I met that stood out were Yolanda and Will. They aren't in my group, but they are super fun to hang around with! Yolanda (Yoda) is a brainiac! She's in like a million AP classes and she's getting ready to go to college! She's definitely a cool kid! Will is the jokester! He's really kind! He is a "semi-professional nerd" and he is proud of it! Well that's all that I can remember from the first day! OH! The Fab Five got 2nd on the Scavenger Hunt! :D Peace out!
